024 Puppies

This podcast relates the story of how I became a dog person and subsequently became parent to two amazing, loving, joyful cockapoos. I also talk about what my furry friends mean to me and to all of us. They have much to teach and much to give and much love to share.

023 Discovering the Akashic Records

Patty Collinsworth joins me to talk about the Akashic Records. What are they? How — and why — would we want to interact with the Records? What’s there for us? We also talk about forgiveness and acceptance, about meditation and the Akasha, and about life in general. Patty also gives an introduction to Linda Howe (LindaHowe.com) — her teacher and mine.

022 Ho’oponopono: The Practice of Forgiveness

Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian practice that focuses on healing relationships and hearts through forgiveness. Here we discuss forgiveness as a letting go, why it’s healthy to forgive, and how to establish a forgiveness practice.

021 Power of Philanthropy

Here we talk about philanthropy — what it is, why we engage in it, how to get involved. We also talk about the energetic aspect of philanthropy. When we give we are expressing an abundance mindset; that abundance returns to us in a positive flow of energy and resources.

020 Live Life on Purpose

Lyn-Dee Eldridge joins the podcast to talk about living life on purpose. Lyn-Dee talks about challenges and crises she’s faced and how she’s found the purpose in them and learned that things don’t happen TO us, they happen FOR us. In this wide-ranging discussion, we talk also about happiness, joy, and peace — and how to have more of these positive emotions in our life.

019 The Many Guises of Guilt

We humans feel guilt. We feel guilt over things we’ve done or said. We feel guilt over things we’ve left undone or unsaid. We feel guilt over our failures — and we feel guilt over our successes. Guilt itself is not a bad thing. Indeed, it spurs us on to do better. The key is to accept that we have these feelings, apologize to anyone we’ve harmed or to ourselves for failing to meet our own standards, and make those changes within ourselves that are necessary to avoid uncharitable actions and words in the future.

018 Further Thoughts on Intention

Sharon Salzberg, in her online class Heart of Intention, presents seven aspects or elements of intention: aspiration, motivation, skillfulness, resilience, generosity, morality, and outcome. In this blog, I explore these aspects. The Further Thoughts are my own, but I am indebted to Sharon for sparking my internal discussion and inspiring me to ponder on the nature of intention.

017 Anatomy of a TV Appearance

This post introduces the podcast that presents the events leading up to my recent TV appearance. Light-hearted and fun, this show gives a background view of the process of doing a live show via Skype with the interviewer in Florida, the interviewee in Massachusetts, and the crew in New Hampshire.

016 Setting a Powerful Intention

Being intentional is a powerful practice. But how to formulate a powerful intention? We discuss eight elements that make up an intention that has strength and vitality. We then discuss the importance of the subconscious in realizing our intentions and how to visualize our intentions to engage the subconscious.

015 What Is Intention

Setting an intention for the day — and for each separate task within the day — is a powerful practice. Intentions are more visions than goals. They establish the priority for the day. We need to know how to set powerful — and empowering — intentions. We need to intend the what, and allow the how.
